We offer our software under several environments.
Starr Accounting was developed on the Alpha Micro mini-computer. The Alpha Micro multi-user application server integrates into a Novel IPX or an open system TCP/IP or WAN. For smaller networks (up to six users), a single-user PC can be expanded to the Alpha Micro multi-user operating system by adding a Falcon card to the PC.
Java offers many new and exciting features. We have embraced this new technology, and will be offering all of our Starr Accounting software under an Application Server Provider environment (you access Starr Accounting from your web browser). This version of Starr Accounting is written in Java, uses the Oracle database, and XML. As our software becomes available under Java, it will be announced both here and at Vigaro (your e-business provider).
